Timnath

Timnath is a quaint agricultural community founded in 1882, located just southeast of Fort Collins, approximately one-half mile east of I-25 at Harmony Road. It sits on a small bluff just east of the Cache la Poudre River; the surrounding farmlands were used primarily for potatoes, alfalfa, corn, sugar beets and raising cattle. In recent years, Timnath has experienced unprecedented growth with a significant increase in population from 625  in 2010, to 7,659 in 2022. The growth of Fort Collins to the west and Windsor to the south has primed the community for future development. Timnath offers available land and affordable prices, making it attractive for both commercial and residential real estate. In recent years Timnath has seen the addition of a Costco, a new UC Health outpost, a handful of new businesses and dining, and on the near horizon is a Top Golf recreational facility and a major flooring supply retail outlet.

Throughout its history, Timnath has retained the characteristics people envision when they think of “small town America.” Despite  experiencing unprecedented growth in recent years, the town has grown fast yet remains true to its rural roots. Timnath consists of primarily single-family homes and is a low-density community. The town protects open space and parkland, particularly near the Poudre River and Timnath Reservoir, a popular destination for fishing and bird watching. Timnath’s small downtown consists of Main Street, which is lined with historic buildings, a historic church, local shops, and a post office. You'll also find the friendly Timnath Beerwerks, where you can enjoy local craft brews, fellowship, and a rotation of food trucks year-round. The area is served by the Poudre  School District.

Timnath is in close proximity to several Northern Colorado institutes of higher learning including Colorado State University in Fort Collins, University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Aims Community College in  Greeley, Regis University in Loveland and Front Range Community College  in Fort Collins.

Health Care

University of Colorado Health’s  Award-winning Poudre Valley Health System's Harmony Campus is a 96-acre  site with four buildings that combine physician offices, outpatient  services, and cancer care. It is affiliated with Medical Center of the  Rockies and Poudre Valley Hospital. Banner Health’s Medical Arts Centre of Windsor is affiliated with  North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley and McKee Medical Center in  Loveland. University of Colorado Health has hospitals in Fort Collins,  Loveland and Childrens’ Hospital in Denver. Quality specialists in virtually all areas are available within a short drive.

Employment

Because Timnath offers easy access to I-25, numerous people commute to the Denver area, about 45 minutes to the south. A large number of residents work in nearby Fort Collins, Windsor, and Loveland. Timnath is just minutes away from outdoor shopping and dining in Johnstown & Loveland at The Promenade Shops at Centerra. Just next door (at the intersection of I-25 and US Route 34) you'll find sporting goods/lifestyle giant Scheel's, Liberty Firearms Institute, Ethan Allen furniture, and a wide array of other shops and restaurants. You'll also find plenty of activity year round at the Budweiser Events Center - from the Larimer County Fair, Colorado Eagles Hockey games, major musical performances, comedians, Cirque du Soleil, and more.
