Johnstown and Milliken are located just minutes away from Loveland, Greeley and Fort Collins, and only about 45 minutes from Denver. School District RE-5J services  Johnstown and Milliken, where there are three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The student to teacher ratio in School District RE-5J is 18:1 and the average ACT score is 24. Higher  education options are ample in Northern Colorado, including the University of Northern Colorado, Aims Community College (both in Greeley) and Colorado State University and Front Range Community College (in Fort Collins).
